Clare is a Yorkshire girl born and bred, and aside from a couple of stints north of the border and down south, she has lived in and around North Yorkshire for most of her life.
She started working life as a solicitor but quickly realised that it wasn’t the right fit and hasn’t looked back since. However, she did gain a great deal of relevant knowledge and skills.
Over the last 15 years, she has built up a wealth of experience in the private, voluntary, and public sectors, immersing herself in all types of organisations.
Alongside her legal qualifications and her diploma in HR Management, she is also a qualified NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Coach and Practitioner. She set up Fairfield HR to create a consultancy service that delivers effective, risk averse, straight talking, commercially astute advice, but delivered with compassion.
Outside of work, she can often be found walking, ideally up a mountain. Living in a beautiful part of the world, she enjoys exploring it. She firmly believes that fresh air, nature, and exercise play a vital role in a person’s wellbeing.
She is passionate about helping others and empowering them to become the best version of themselves. With most people spending over 50% of their lives at work, she believes in making the most of that time.
It’s not just people’s wellbeing that matters to her—she also cares deeply about the wellbeing of the planet. As a result, a percentage of her profits each year is donated to local environmental charities.
At Fairfield HR, Clare leads a team of like-minded consultants who share her values and approach. Together, they bring diverse expertise across employment law, leadership development, workplace wellbeing, and organisational change. Each team member contributes their unique perspective while maintaining the same commitment to delivering practical, compassionate, and commercially-focused HR solutions. This collaborative approach allows Fairfield HR to support organisations of all sizes with the personal touch that sets us apart.
